How it works
The tool interprets the date and time you entered as the wall-clock time
in the chosen source time zone, converts that moment to the universal
instant (UTC), and then displays the corresponding time in each time zone on the list. All
with the native Intl.DateTimeFormat API, no external libraries.
About time zones (IANA) and daylight saving time
Time zones use IANA identifiers (such as America/Sao_Paulo or
Asia/Tokyo). These identifiers carry the historical rules for each region,
including daylight saving time (DST). That's why the displayed offset
can vary depending on the chosen date — for example, New York appears as UTC-05:00 in
winter and UTC-04:00 in summer.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can I add other time zones?
Yes. Use the "Add time zone to the list" selector to include more time zones, and the "Remove"
button on each row to drop the ones you don't need.
Do the times account for daylight saving time?
Yes. Since we use IANA identifiers and the browser's native API, daylight saving time
transitions are applied automatically based on the reference date.
